Legend Plastic Plant & Ornament Cleaner™ is a professional aquarium cleaning system designed to restore plastic plants and aquarium ornaments affected by algae, organic deposits and detritus build-up.
Over time, artificial decorations can lose their original appearance as algae and organic waste accumulate on surfaces, reducing realism and overall aquarium aesthetics. Legend Plastic Plant & Ornament Cleaner™ uses a two-step restoration process that helps break down stubborn contamination while safely preparing decorations for reintroduction into the aquarium.
The cleaning tablets work by loosening and dissolving algae deposits and accumulated organic residues during an overnight soaking treatment. After cleaning, the included neutraliser solution helps eliminate residual cleaning agents before the ornaments are returned to the aquarium.
Plastic aquarium plants and ornaments provide an easy and reliable way to create natural-looking aquascapes without the maintenance requirements of live aquatic plants or natural hardscape materials. Proper periodic cleaning helps maintain their appearance and prolongs their usability.
Each pack contains: Cleaning Tablets (x5) & Neutraliser Solution (10 mL).

Legend Plastic Plant & Ornament Cleaner™ is intended exclusively for plastic aquarium decorations and ornaments.
Do not use on natural wood, stone, porous rock or live plants.
Directions
Cleaning process
- Remove the plastic plants or ornaments from the aquarium.
- Place the decorations into a bucket containing approximately 10 litres of water.
- Add one cleaning tablet to the water.
- Allow the decorations to soak for a minimum of 8 hours or preferably overnight.
- Discard the cleaning solution after soaking.
- Rinse the decorations thoroughly using clean water.
- Prepare a second bucket with 10 litres of fresh water and add the included neutraliser solution.
- Soak the cleaned decorations in the neutralising bath for approximately 15 minutes.
- Rinse once more with clean water before returning the decorations to the aquarium.
Important:
Use only on decorations removed from the aquarium.
Never add the cleaning tablets directly into an operating aquarium.

What types of algae can the cleaner remove?
A: The cleaning system helps remove green algae, brown algae, hair algae and organic biofilm commonly found on plastic aquarium decorations.
Can it be used on natural rocks or wood?
A: No. The product is designed specifically for plastic plants and artificial aquarium ornaments. Natural stone and wood should be cleaned manually.
Is the product safe for aquariums?
A: Yes, when used according to the instructions and followed by proper neutralisation and rinsing before reintroduction into the aquarium.
Why is the neutraliser solution necessary?
A: The neutraliser helps deactivate residual cleaning compounds and prepares the decorations for safe aquarium use.
Can algae-eating fish prevent ornament contamination?
A: Species such as bristlenose catfish, otocinclus, nerite snails, Siamese algae eaters and freshwater shrimp can help control algae growth, but periodic cleaning of decorations is still usually necessary.
