Position the diffuser inside the aquarium in an area with moderate water circulation to ensure efficient distribution of dissolved carbon dioxide throughout the aquarium. Connect the CO2 tubing securely to the integrated inlet and verify that all connections are properly installed before operation.

Before introducing CO2 pressure, allow the ceramic membrane to remain submerged in aquarium water for approximately two hours. This soaking period enables water to penetrate the microscopic pores of the ceramic membrane and improves diffusion efficiency during initial operation.

For best results, adjust the regulator to a working pressure of approximately 2 bar or higher. Once pressure is applied, several minutes may be required before carbon dioxide begins passing uniformly through the ceramic membrane. During the first hours of operation, larger bubbles may be visible around portions of the membrane. This is a normal characteristic of new ceramic diffusers and will gradually improve as the membrane becomes fully saturated.

Over the first twenty-four hours of operation, the diffuser will progressively produce finer and more uniform microbubbles as all ceramic pores become fully conditioned. CO2 levels should always be adjusted gradually and monitored using a suitable CO2 indicator or drop checker to ensure safe conditions for fish, shrimp, and other aquatic livestock.

Remove the ceramic assembly and immerse it in a solution consisting of equal parts household chlorine bleach and water. Allow the membrane to soak until deposits have dissolved completely. Cleaning duration will vary depending on the severity of contamination.

After cleaning, rinse thoroughly with clean water and allow any remaining chlorine residue to dissipate completely before reinstalling the diffuser. Once properly cleaned, the ceramic membrane will typically regain near-original diffusion performance.

Regular maintenance helps preserve maximum atomization efficiency and extends the service life of the diffuser.
