Overview
MediFluKGuard+™ is most effective against outbreaks of Skin Flukes (Gyrodactylus), Gill Flukes (Dactylogyrus), Internal Worms (Nematodes), Hexamita, Anchor worm (Lernea), Leeches (Piscicol) and Fish Lice (Argulus).
MediFluKGuard+™ uses Flubendazole as the main active ingredient. This is a premixed formula for the treatment of internal parasites, worms, flukes and protozoa such as Hexamita that affects tropical and coldwater fish. Discus and livebearers such as guppies, mollies and platy are most prone to attack from gut parasites. We recommend treating your aquarium once every 4 weeks to maintain a healthy environment.
Active Ingredients: Flubendazole 1000 mg/100 mL
Indications
Use when fish (especially Discus species) are susceptible to internal worms. An obvious sign is when fish become very thin but still continue to feed. Use when fish become lethargic, fins are clamped, thin looking, gasping and showing signs of rubbing/irritation.

Flukes (Gill and Body)
Skin Flukes (Gyrodactylus) / Gill Flukes (Dactylogyrus)
Fish appear sluggish, flash against rocks, and often gasp and show other signs of stress. Flukes are difficult to diagnose because the parasite itself cannot be seen until the advanced stages of infection. Look for gasping, irritated or red gills, excessive mucus production, twitching and flashing, and translucent spots (advanced infections).
Suggested Treatment Period:
1 ml per 50 liters of water.
Duration of treatment:
One initial dose, followed by a repeat after 7 days. Total period: 7–14 days, depending on the severity of the infestation.
Why repetition is necessary: The drug eliminates adult parasites, but eggs (especially in gill flukes) may hatch later. The second dose destroys parasites that appeared after the first administration.
In severe cases: Up to 3–4 treatments can be done, at 7-day intervals, without exceeding the recommended dose. In short: dose → 7-day break → repeat, for 1–2 weeks.
Special Considerations
During treatment it is essential to turn off the UV lamp and ozone and remove the activated carbon from the filter. Provide additional aeration, especially if the water temperature is high. Feed the fish in moderation. Do not combine the treatment with other antiparasitic drugs or copper-based products.
Do not use in aquariums with invertebrates (shrimp, snails).

Wormer
Internal Worms (Nematodes) / Anchor worm (Lernea)
Fish that are very thin but continue to feed are a classic sign of internal worms. Fish may also appear lethargic, with clamped fins and reduced activity. Internal parasites are often not visible externally and require treatment based on behavioral symptoms.

Directions
Treatment
1 ml per 50 liters of water.
One initial dose, followed by a repeat after 7 days. Total period: 7–14 days, depending on the severity of the infestation. The drug eliminates adult parasites, but eggs (especially in gill flukes) may hatch later — the second dose destroys parasites that appeared after the first administration.
In severe cases: Up to 3–4 treatments can be done, at 7-day intervals, without exceeding the recommended dose.
After each dose, do not change the water for 24–48 hours; a partial change (20–30%) can be done afterwards.
After Treating
Wait 24–48 hours after administering the dose, then perform a partial water change of 20–30% of the aquarium volume. Do not add activated carbon if a repeat dose is to be administered — only introduce it after the last dose in the schedule. Keep the UV and ozone off until the treatment is completely finished.
If you need to repeat the treatment after 7 days, a large water change is not necessary before the next dose; only maintain moderate partial water changes. Reintroduce the activated carbon and turn on the UV after the entire treatment cycle is complete.
FAQ
What signs indicate I need MediFluKGuard+™?
Internal Worms: Fish becoming thin (pinched-in look) but still eating well.
External Flukes: Fish rubbing/flashing against objects, lethargy, clamped fins, gasping at the surface, reddened fins, or scratching.
How do I use MediFluKGuard+™?
Remove carbon/phosphate remover, turn off UV/ozone, and increase aeration. Shake well, measure with a pipette, and add slowly to the aquarium (mix with aquarium water first for easier dosing). Turn off the protein skimmer for a few hours after application. Can repeat weekly up to 4 doses, but always check diagnosis and water quality first.
What are the major warnings?
Kills Invertebrates: Do not use in reef tanks or with snails, shrimp, or corals.
No Mixing: Avoid mixing with other medications.
What if I need to treat again?
