LGND Al-Qali™

Legend Al-Qali™ is a zero-phosphate buffer to raise pH and alkalinity (KH) and buffer with Legend Saleratus™. These buffers are designed for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem. Legend Al-Qali™ increases the pH value to a maximum of 8.5. It is gentle, safe, and enhances the freshwater environment.

To increase pH, use 1 teaspoon (≈ 5 mL) for every 80 L daily until desired pH is reached (this dose raises alkalinity by about 0.7 meq/L (≈ 2 dKH)).

In order to adjust pH gradually, use Legend Al-Qali™ with Legend Saleratus™. When using Legend Al-Qali™ & Legend Saleratus™ together to target a specific pH, utilize the ratio chart in Directions.

Sizes: 300 g, 600 g, 1 kg, 1.5 kg

Use

To increase pH, add 1 teaspoon per 80 L daily until the desired pH is reached (this dose typically increases alkalinity by about 0.7 meq/L, approximately 2 dKH).

For gradual pH adjustment, use Legend Al-Qali™ together with Legend Saleratus™. When targeting a specific pH, use the ratio chart as a starting point, then fine-tune based on your water chemistry.

Hint: First determine how much Legend Al-Qali™ is needed for your water volume based on your alkalinity (KH) target. Then use the ratio chart to estimate the complementary amount of Legend Saleratus™ to help stabilize your target pH.

Ratio chart (starting point)

This chart is a general guide. Ratios may need adjustment depending on source water and buffering capacity.

Conversion reference: 1 meq/L ≈ 2.8 dKH (so 2 meq/L ≈ 5.6 dKH). If your test kit reads in dKH, divide the dKH value by 2.8 to estimate meq/L. Always adjust gradually and re-test between doses.
