Overview
Legend Balance GH+™ is a precision remineralizer for reverse osmosis (RO/DI) water, designed to restore and maintain General Hardness (GH) and to support a stable ionic environment for freshwater aquariums. It provides a balanced blend of calcium and magnesium salts with supporting electrolytes to help reduce the risk of osmotic stress during water changes.
Legend Balance GH+™ is intended for use with RO/DI water and does not increase carbonate hardness (KH). For pH/alkalinity stability, use a dedicated KH buffer product separately (e.g., Legend Balance KH+), as required by your aquarium setup.

Use guidance
Always remineralize new water in a separate container before adding it to the aquarium. Mix thoroughly until fully dispersed, then verify with a GH and/or TDS/conductivity meter if desired. For best livestock safety, avoid large parameter jumps between old and new water (especially with shrimp and sensitive species).

Does Legend Balance GH+™ increase KH or stabilize pH?
A: No. Legend Balance GH+™ is a GH-only remineralizer and does not raise KH. If you need alkalinity/pH stability, use a dedicated KH buffer separately (e.g., Legend Balance KH+).
Should I dose Legend Balance GH+™ directly into the aquarium?
A: We recommend dosing into new RO/DI water first, mixing completely, and then using that water for changes. This provides the most consistent results and reduces the risk of osmotic stress.
Can I use Legend Balance GH+™ for shrimp aquariums?
A: Yes, it can be used for freshwater shrimp, but always match your target GH and avoid sudden changes. For shrimp-focused mineral ratios, consider a shrimp-specific formula (e.g., Balance Shrimp) depending on species and targets.
How do I confirm I've dosed correctly?
A: The most reliable approach is to test the prepared water with a GH test kit and/or measure TDS/conductivity for repeatability. Adjust dosing to reach your aquarium's target values.
