Overview

LGND Aquario Rio Flow™ is a premium PETG inlet and outlet pipe system designed to optimize water circulation, surface cleanliness, and filtration efficiency in planted aquariums and aquascaping layouts. Combining the crystal-clear appearance of glass with the durability and impact resistance of modern engineering polymers, Rio Flow™ provides an elegant alternative to traditional glass lily pipes while offering exceptional flexibility during installation and maintenance.

Manufactured from high-clarity PETG, the system delivers the visual transparency aquascapers desire without the fragility commonly associated with glass equipment. The smooth curves promote efficient water movement while blending discreetly into the aquarium environment, allowing plants and hardscape to remain the focal point of the display.

The adjustable inlet and outlet assemblies can be disconnected, rotated, raised, lowered, and repositioned to fine-tune water circulation patterns according to the needs of individual aquariums. This flexibility allows aquarists to optimize flow distribution, eliminate stagnant zones, improve nutrient transport, and maximize CO2 circulation throughout the aquarium.

The integrated surface skimmer continuously removes protein films, organic residues, and surface debris that may accumulate on the water surface, improving gas exchange, light penetration, and overall aquarium aesthetics.

Directions
Aquario Rio Flow installation

Install the inlet and outlet pipes onto compatible filter tubing and position them securely using the supplied suction cups. The inlet strainer should be placed below the water surface in an area that allows unrestricted water intake, while the outlet should be positioned to create gentle circulation across the aquarium.

The outlet assembly may be rotated through a full 360 degrees to adjust flow direction according to the aquarium layout. Small changes in outlet position can significantly influence circulation patterns, nutrient distribution, and CO2 movement throughout the aquarium.

The integrated surface skimmer can be adjusted vertically to regulate surface intake. Raising or lowering the skimmer alters the amount of surface water being collected and allows fine tuning according to water level and surface film conditions.

Do not rotate the skimmer adjustment tube beyond its intended operating range. Excessive force may damage the adjustment mechanism. Following installation, monitor circulation patterns and make minor adjustments as necessary to achieve even flow throughout the aquarium.

Maintenance
Aquario Rio Flow maintenance

Regular cleaning is recommended to maintain optimal water flow and preserve the crystal-clear appearance of the PETG material. Over time, biofilm, algae, mineral deposits, and organic debris may accumulate on internal surfaces and reduce flow efficiency.

The modular design allows the inlet, outlet, and skimmer sections to be easily separated for thorough cleaning. Components may be rinsed with warm water and cleaned using an appropriately sized pipe brush.

The surface skimmer should be inspected regularly to ensure that intake slots remain free from obstructions. Accumulated plant material, floating debris, or biofilm may reduce skimming performance and should be removed promptly.

Avoid aggressive solvents, abrasive cleaners, or excessive mechanical force that could scratch or damage the PETG surface.

FAQ
What is PETG and why is it used?

PETG is a highly transparent engineering polymer that combines excellent clarity with superior impact resistance. It offers a glass-like appearance while being significantly more resistant to accidental breakage.

What does the integrated skimmer do?

The skimmer continuously removes protein films, oils, dust, and floating organic debris from the water surface. This improves gas exchange, increases light penetration, and helps maintain a cleaner aquarium appearance.

Can the flow direction be adjusted?

Yes. The outlet assembly can rotate through 360 degrees, allowing precise control over water circulation patterns within the aquarium.

Is Rio Flow™ suitable for shrimp aquariums?

Yes. The fine intake design helps reduce the likelihood of shrimp or small fish being drawn into the filtration system while maintaining strong water circulation.

Can the skimmer height be adjusted?

Yes. The floating skimmer assembly may be raised or lowered to alter surface intake and accommodate varying water levels.

Is PETG stronger than acrylic?

Yes. PETG generally offers greater impact resistance and flexibility than acrylic while maintaining excellent optical clarity.

Safety

For aquarium use only. Keep out of reach of children. Although PETG is considerably more impact resistant than glass, excessive force, twisting, bending, dropping, or improper handling may still damage the equipment.

Inspect all components regularly for signs of wear, cracks, or damage. Replace damaged parts immediately to prevent leakage or performance issues. Do not force rotating or adjustable components beyond their intended range of movement.

When installing or removing tubing, support the pipe body properly to avoid unnecessary stress on fittings and connections. Ensure suction cups are securely attached before operation. Clean only with aquarium-safe cleaning methods. Avoid solvents, aggressive chemicals, or abrasive materials that may damage PETG surfaces.
