Overview
Legend Root Wellness™ are growth-stimulating capsules for plant roots. They contain essential trace elements, amino acids, and vitamins. They are rich in iron, manganese, magnesium, calcium, and potassium. Plants develop a root system that will sink very deep into the soil, developing very healthy. Legend Root Wellness™ capsules make nutrient-poor soils resilient again.
The result: vigorous growth and intense colors. Plants radiate vitality and unfold their natural beauty. The granular fertilizer is used with the addition of a range of Legend fertilizers in aquariums with soil or gravel as a substrate.

Indications
Legend Root Wellness™ is formulated to provide key nutrients, including iron and potassium, to help new aquatic plants get off to a strong start and keep established plants thriving. Add 1 capsule for every 2.5 square inches of gravel surface. Nutrients are released gradually, avoiding overdose. Refreshing takes place after three months: simply insert new capsules. The granules have no effect on water quality and can be easily vacuumed after use.
Placement
Push the capsules deep into the substrate near the plant's root zone, at least 3 cm (1.2") deep, to ensure direct nutrient uptake and minimise leaching into the water column.
Pro placement techniques
The 45-degree angle: instead of pushing capsules straight down (90 degrees), insert them at a 45-degree angle. This makes them less likely to pop back up as the capsule dissolves or the substrate shifts.
Visual mapping: before burying them, lay out all capsules on top of the substrate to visualize spacing (a 10–15 cm grid) and avoid double-dosing one area.
Outermost leaf rule: for large plants like Amazon Swords, place capsules under the tips of the outermost leaves where feeder roots are typically concentrated, rather than directly under the crown.
Special considerations
For optimal aquatic plant growth, root capsules can be used in conjunction with a liquid fertiliser for plants that absorb primarily through their leaves.
Area
Add 1 capsule per 2.5 in² / 16 cm² of substrate. Always siphon away detritus after replanting or after adding Root Wellness™.
Targeted placement
For heavy root feeders like Amazon swords or Cryptocoryne, place one or more capsules in a ring around the base of the plant, near the tips of the outermost leaves where feeder roots are often located.
Plant density
In densely planted aquariums, you may need to place capsules closer together (every ~10 cm) to ensure all plants receive adequate nutrition.
Special considerations
When moving or removing plants, avoid pulling up unconsumed capsules. If a capsule is exposed, re-bury it promptly to minimise localised nutrient release and water clouding.

FAQ
How often should I use Root Wellness™ in my aquarium?
Add new Root Wellness™ capsules every 3–4 months for most planted tanks. Frequency depends on substrate type, plant demand, and growth rate. Watch for deficiency signs (yellowing, slower growth) and refresh as needed.
Do Root Wellness™ affect water quality?
If a capsule is accidentally unearthed, it should not harm water quality, but for best results re-bury it near the roots so root feeders can use it effectively.
Do Root Wellness™ increase pH?
Capsules are not intended to raise pH. In very soft or unbuffered water, they may have slightly acidic characteristics similar to natural humic materials.
