Overview
Legend Saleratus™ is a zero-phosphate buffer to lower pH and alkalinity (KH) and can be used with Legend Al-Qali™ to target a specific pH. These buffers are designed for the planted aquarium or for very hard water where phosphate buffers may pose an algae or cloudiness problem.

Directions
Use
To lower pH, use 1 level teaspoon (5 mL scoop) of Legend Saleratus™ for every 100 L (26.5 US gallons) daily until desired pH is reached (this dose lowers alkalinity by about 0.6 meq/L (1.7 dKH)). Larger doses may be required in very hard (high KH) or alkaline waters.
In order to adjust pH gradually, or if water is soft / not well buffered, use Legend Saleratus™ with Legend Al-Qali™. When using Legend Al-Qali™ and Legend Saleratus™ together to target a specific pH, use the ratio chart as a starting point.
Hint
First determine the amount of Legend Al-Qali™ needed for the volume of water (based on your desired alkalinity / KH). Then, divide by the number in the middle column to obtain the correct amount of Legend Saleratus™ required.

Can I use Legend Saleratus™ without Legend Al-Qali™?
A: Yes. However, if you want to target a specific pH consistently, using a fixed ratio with Legend Al-Qali™ makes pH targeting more predictable.
